ERBF follows the guidelines and best practices set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The Eurasian Review of Business and Finance (ERBF) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice.
Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must properly cite all sources and acknowledge contributions from others. Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their work. All authors listed on a manuscript must have made a significant contribution to the research and must approve the final version of the manuscript. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have consented to submission.
If generative AI tools were used in preparing the manuscript, this must be disclosed transparently. AI tools may not be listed as authors.
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents. They must not share or discuss the content of submitted manuscripts with anyone outside the review process. Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
Reviewers who feel unqualified to review a particular manuscript, or who cannot complete a review within the agreed timeframe, must notify the editor promptly. Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could bias their evaluation and must recuse themselves when appropriate.
Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts are published based on academic merit, relevance to the journal's scope, and the recommendations of reviewers. Editors must evaluate manuscripts without regard to the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Editors must ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose information about submissions to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and editorial staff as appropriate. Editors must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author's written consent.
ERBF employs plagiarism detection software to screen all submitted manuscripts. Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism will be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the editorial team will investigate the matter in accordance with COPE guidelines, which may result in the retraction of the article, notification to the author's institution, and a ban on future submissions from the author(s).
Published articles may be retracted if there is clear evidence of research misconduct, fabrication or falsification of data, plagiarism, or serious errors that invalidate the findings. Retractions will follow COPE retraction guidelines and will include a retraction notice linked to the original article. Corrections and errata will be published when errors are identified that do not affect the overall validity of the findings.
Authors who wish to appeal an editorial decision may do so by contacting the editor-in-chief with a detailed explanation of the grounds for appeal. Appeals will be considered by the editorial team and, if warranted, the manuscript may be sent for additional review. Complaints regarding publication ethics or editorial conduct should be directed to the editor-in-chief at nigar.taspinar@emu.edu.tr. All complaints will be investigated following COPE procedures.
All participants in the peer-review and publication process — authors, reviewers, and editors — must disclose any relationships or activities that could be perceived as influencing the submitted work. Funding sources for the research must be acknowledged in the manuscript. The editorial team will manage disclosed conflicts of interest to ensure the integrity of the review process.
